Shikhar is an acute observer and critic of designed objects and spaces. Through this piece, he tried to question the overproduction and overconsumption leading to the prevalent trash culture in our current times (Anthropocene is a poubellocene). He raises the question of how might craftspeople use abundant electronic waste available in the urban vicinity as a raw material in a post-capitalist society. The words ‘Tana’ and ‘Bana’ are warp and weft, and the word ‘Noor’ indicates the light in Arabic likewise in Urdu signifying the electronic wires used in the piece.
